”A MATTER OF STYLE” MOVING GEOMETRIES

To have a mirror of the world
It is necessary for the world to have a form.
(Umberto Eco, The name of the rose, from Pliny the Young)

Geometry is the abstract form of the matter and proportion science.
In this performance music, dance and painting, with the stage and sound set up, define the geometric and temporal space.
Stage and audience are meant as a place in which, every variation of the auditory and visual architecture draws and modifies the proportions of the initially void space. This place appears as an incentive for a possible different perception of the relationship among the parts and with the whole.
The sensory system of every single spectator is not led towards an a priori definite interpretation, but it is urged to follow his free imagination through the changeable abstract settings and the artistic performances, which are offered as expression of continuously changing shapes.
Every artist’s job begins from an initial individual project, and develops extemporarily through improvisation, leaving the possibility to every performance of being one and unique.
The figures which are projected are a reproduction of Lissajous curves. They are optical projections arisen by the composition of two harmonic motions which make visible bodies vibration, and can be considered the geometrical expression of musical harmony.
